Air Force, Sir!

I was involved in something like this on the obstacle course during Hell Week at my little military school in the Rockies.

I came running down a hill, jumped across a stream, landed on two feet and yelled “Air Force, Sir!” as we were supposed to do – and was met face to face by a female upperclassperson, built like a linebacker. She yelled, “Do I look like a SIR to you?” Being a good cadet who follows the honor code, I yelled back, “YES SIR!”

She made me sit in the cold March stream for awhile to “cool off” . . .
